A Long Time Coming

Several years ago, I was in a funk. I felt a little lost and like I didn't really accomplish anything each day.

At the time I was a mom to 2 very small little munchkins and the house stayed relatively clean so I really did accomplish things but it just wasn't satisfying. That's when I discovered crafting. It started with my oldest little girl, Ms. J. She needed a new dress and I couldn't believe how much they wanted for it at the store....i mean $30 for a dress she'll outgrow in  a few months.
This is Ms. J and Mr. R  in 2008.

That's when the thought crossed my mind "I wonder if I could make that".

Since then i've had that thought A LOT. My friends laugh at me because of how often I say that now.  I say it about fashion, food and pretty much any craft I see that I really like.

So that's when my addiction began. I decided to make a dress....unfortunately after spending a long time searching through our old pics i can't find one of that dress....

This is the first dress I made with my serger....it has a shrug too but apparently I didn't take a picture of that either....oh well

Now I just love to create things....crochet, knit, sew and i'm even getting into wood crafts. That's what this blog will be about....all my crafting craziness and the regular craziness that goes on in my house already.

I have a website (still a work in progress) where i'll sell a lot of my finished products or you can order custom things. The art of creating makes me feel so happy and I love when what I create can have a functional application (it can be used until it's worn out)....

I've wanted to open a shop and start a blog about my crazy crafting for a long time and now feels right. I hope you follow along with me while I make some "killer creations".

While attempting to finish this post my dear youngest son (Mr. K) has to decided to do a little crafting/decorating of his own....

Look what I can do with oatmeal!
Make something great out of whatever medium you can get your hands on.
